To Cut or Not to Cut?

So, I am having an internal debate.  I really want to cut my hair shorter for the summer.  For a few reasons- I love to change up my look, my hair grows really fast, and I think it will be easier to manager in the summer months.  But of course, since my hair is long, I am debating on whether I should just go for it!  Have any of you cut your hair recently?  How did it come out?  Send pics please to: jdechesser@yahoo.com

Chipper

Having pets can bring the most joy to our lives but also sometimes the most heartbreak because their lives go by so fast and saying goodbye is so hard.  When I met my husband, he lived with his parents and was so in love with his pure breed yellow lab, Chipper.  When we moved in together, Chipper would wait at the door for us at my in-laws for Sunday dinners ecstatically at the top of the stairs. He has brought so much joy to be husband and we will miss Chipper so much.  Today we had to say our goodbyes- at almost 13 years old, Chipper lived a great life of love, affection, and tons of dog toys!

White-Out

White is the new black this season.  From white dresses to white walls, I am so impressed by the beautiful ways people enhance such a basic color.  With undertones of pinks, silvers, and blues, white can be so drastically different yet always a crisp, fresh color.

Style Confessions

There are so many style blogs out there and we all have our favorites.  Since I am in CT, it is not exactly the NY fashion industry so I get really excited when I come across something local that focuses on local boutique finds, local personalities, and everything within our very own backyard.  Working for a CBS news station here in CT helps me stay connected to the media and local businesses.  I discovered this awesome style website that focuses on fashion on a budget and was started by CT’s very own Sonia Baghdady, news anchor for Ch 8 News. I was honored when Style Confessions featured my swimwear blog post swimwear-for-every-shape/. The Stylists for Style Confessions are a dynamic team of women who have fashion and media experience and each of them brings their own style and expertise to the site.

Old Accessories, New Looks

I have been away for a couple days because we moved into our new house!  We are so excited for our new home and our first house together as a married couple.  You will see a lot more decorating posts as we furnish and make the house our own.  Any DIY ideas or great furniture sales, please so share! xoxo.

The part that was most fun about moving was really unpacking and organizing my things the way I want them to be organized.  Since we had such a small space, it was hard to organize my clothes and accessories.  I stumbled across pieces that I totally forgot I had so I figured I’d share these little gems!
