Nursery Inspiration

As I enter my third trimester, I am getting so excited to meet my little boy!  Prepping for the baby can be overwhelming but also a ton of fun.  We (by we I mean my husband of course) started by painting the nursery a grayish blue color called Harbor Haze by Benjamin Moore.  The color scheme we are going for is blue, gray, and pops of mint and gold.  I found some adorable pictures at our local Hobby Lobby and decided to do an elephant theme for this little peanut since it goes with our color scheme.  Below is an inspiration board of some nursery ideas, I cannot wait to share the finished product. nursery-babyTaylor I’d love to hear some ideas from you. Share some pictures with me as well on twitter or Facebook!

HOME is where the ❤ is

When we first moved in our new home, it was so fun to decorate and make the place our own. It’s been two years and although I do not want to completely change my decor, it feels so refreshing to add a new candle, vase or these adorable hand-painted letters from Graham & Brown.  The watercolor art really brightens and adds color to my living space.  I placed the letter right next to a vase of fresh mint that my aunt picked from her garden.  Sometime fresh herbs are even more beautiful (and useful!) than flowers.

For many more artistic decor, check out Graham & Brown for textured wallpaper, canvas art, and so much more unique home decorations you cannot find anywhere else.  I am totally eyeing  this Mystical metallic wallpaper as an accent wall for my walk-in closet.  I think the metallic silver textures will go perfect with the violet walls and bring the room to life.

Project Closet: Sneak Peek

One of my biggest New Year’s resolution, that I actually following through on, is to get more organized.  Where better to start than my closet?  Of course every girl has a dream closet and for Christmas, I begged my husband and my mom to help me improve my closet for Christmas.  My mom got me the racks from Home Depot, which are very sturdy and definitely worth the investment.  She also helped me go through clothes and I must say “the cleansing process” took a long time.  My rule was, if I had not worn it in a year, then donate it.

Installation only took a half hour and all instructions were on them.  This is just a sneak peek but wanted to share the progress so far!  Ryan also got me an adorable chandelier from Pottery Barn Kids that will go perfectly in this room.  Will keep you guys posted!

Just a few of my Favorite Things- Christmas Edition

chirstmaswishlist

My wishlist is pretty versatile this year from fashion items to home decor. I’m an easy gal to shop for, so I think! 🙂

I’ve been dying for some J. Crew Etta Pumps, but can’t decide plaid or the adorable sparkly heel! Which do you like best?
Also loving Jane Iredale BB cream and makeup since it’s all natural and amazing.
Other items include new glasses since I sat on my Fendi ones and broke them! (sad day for me.)
Of course I’d love to add to my Alex & Ani collection and loving the spiky bangle to spice my arm candy up.
A new-school Polaroid camera would be so fun as well as the classic cream Burberry scarf and a few new throw pillows for my favorite sectional couch.
