Meet me in the Dugout ♥

So I am going to see the Yankees vs. Red Sox game Saturday!  My fiance got us tickets for my birthday @ Fenway Park. We are one of the few couples that have made it through the bi-team relationship.  He is a Red Sox fan and I am a Yankees fan.  We have a lot of fun together when we go to games and people in the bleachers just look at us with disgust as if we do not belong together.  it makes for an interesting experience.

And yes, I DO have the balls (theoretically) to wear my Yankees gear to Fenway even though I will be all alone since my fiance will be wearing Red Sox.  Bring on all the insults and screaming at Fenway- I am ready for it.  But, needless to say, I do want to look cute at least in my Yankees gear.  I thought I would find some cute Yankees wear at PINK Victoria Secret’s but they only had Red sox!!  Can you imagine that??!

I  am thinking the ultimate Tom Boy look mixed with a little glam to feminize the look.

3-day Food Challenge

So my wedding is 5 freakin’ months away!  I want to look awesome in my wedding dress as well as look hot in my bikini in Hawaii on my honeymoon.  I have been working out 3-4 times a week  but need a little motivation on my diet.  My mom sent me this 3-day diet that supposedly works on chemical breakdown and you can lose 10 lbs in one week if you follow it exactly.  I usually hate diet reccommendations but if you take a look at this one it seems very reasonable/do-able and realistic.

So, who is going to take this 3-day challenge with me?  I need some support for motivation!!

Spring Pastels

My mom’s birthday was yesterday and we had a wonderful dinner with some yummy pastel colored cupcakes and gave her beautiful, bright daiseys.  My mom’s birthday is always refreshing because it is in the beginning of April and this month has so much to offer.  From beautiful tulips to wonderful pastel colored treats and accessories, it is such a bright month.

Work Hard Play Harder

If you are like me you are constantly trying to balance everything in your life.  From working, to planning my wedding, to finding “me” time and friend time, I am constantly trying to fit everything into my hectic schedule.  On top of that, as fashionistas, we need to look good doing it all.  If I have fun plans right after work, I like to make sure my work attire can be morphed into something trendy and fun for a night out with friends, or a dinner with my fiance.  By just changing up a few accessories and adding a little more color, your business clothing can turn into pleasure-wear.  A quick 5 minute alteration, without having to pick out a whole new outfit can give your work outfit a whole new look!

Panko Coconut Encrusted Tilapia

Everyone who knows me knows I despise fish.  Ever since I was a kid, I couldn’t stand the fishy smell or the texture.  I just started eating some seafood such as shrimp and calamari so I figured I would give fish another try.  I can’t say it was my favorite meal (simply because I am not a fan of fish) but it did bring out some flavor that I didn’t know existed in fish!

My goal in making fish was to “hide” the fishy taste.  I absolutely love coconut on everything so I decided coconut would be my main flavor.  I ended up with a nice, crunchy coconut/Panko breading that came out pretty good.  This is also very low-fat!

You will need:

  • 2 4 oz Tilapia
  • 1/2 cup Panko (Japanese style bread crumbs)
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Flakes
  • 1 egg
  • Dash of milk
  • fresh lemon wedge

Directions: Beat 1 egg and dash of milk together. Combine coconut and breadcrumbs together in separate bowl.
Roll tilapia in milk/egg mix and coat thoroughly with Panko and coconut mix. Squeeze fresh lemon for additional flavor.  Serves 2.
