We all love ice cream cake, right? And who says we have to go to Carvel & spend an arm & a leg on this perfect summer treat. A homemade Oreo icecream cake can be so inexpensive & easy.
Ingredients:
* 1 regular pack of Oreos
* 1/2 gallon ice cream (cookies&cream or chocolate chip)
* 1 regular container Cool Whip
* Hershey’s Chocolate sauce
* 2 tbsp. butter
Directions:
Crush Oreos and add melted butter. Cover bottom of 9″x12″ cake pan with cookie crumbs, saving some to sprinkle on top later. Spread softened ice cream. Add chocolate sauce on top. Then spread Cool Whip and more chocolate sauce on top again. Sprinkle with leftover cookie crumbs to decorate. Freeze overnight, cut and serve. You can use different types of cookies & icecream to switch up the flavors. Enjoy!
Wow, this looks absolutely wonderful! I can´t wait to make it on my own!

Hi,
I’m from Spain and wondering what I can use as a replacement for Cool Whip?
It looks really nice, would be perfect for the summer 🙂
Thanks for reading! You can replace the Cool WHip with your own, homemade whip cream. It’s super-easy to make:
I
ngredients:
1/2 pt. whipping cream
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Whip cream with mixer. Be careful not to overbeat or else will get too thick like butter. When it begins to thicken, add sugar and vanilla; stir. Refrigerate.
Ah, thank you so much!! Can’t wait to try 🙂
