Sweaters & Leggings: Preggo Fashion

I apologize on my lack of posting; morning sickness and fatigue have gotten the best of me throughout this pregnancy. Now that I am about 17 weeks, I am hoping the sickness will pass and I will get some energy back!
I have been living in super stretchy pants and long sweaters.  Also, I finally got around to buying some maternity pants– they are so comfy.
I have been trying to stay active with simple exercises like walking and playing with my dog Zoey because I have had no energy to do any real workouts. These wedge sneakers give me both the height and comfort I am desiring while preggo.

Street Style: Sparkle & Snow

streetstylesparkleandsnow-header
It looks like it going to be a White Christmas in Connecticut. As Street Style fashionistas, we are bringing on the sparkle and winter boots. Last night, Jen and myself were lucky enough to score tickets to John Mayer’s concert at the Webster Bank Arena (in Bridgeport, CT where John Mayer was born!) & it was so amazing because John Mayer was raised in Fairfield, Connecticut and he was totally feeling his roots. It definitely showed through his heart-felt performance.
It was a cold night and I opted for a not-too-warm festive top with some booties and black leggings (these pictures are pre-jacket!).  Jen was a bit more bundled up an adorable hat & scarf.

Are you like me and love sequins and sparkle this time of year?  What is your favorite winter accessory?

Topshop-ping

As the CT Topshop ambassador, I had to check out the line at Nordstrom in West Farms mall. I had a blast looking through the unique items and scored myself a new casual winter coat as well as a gorgeous lace & beaded cropped top .  My favorite part of the experience is you have your very own Topshop Personal Stylist!  My PS was named Dan & he was so helpful and a little fashionist-o himself.

P.S. how are you liking my new Ombre hair?

Classic Cream

This coat is one of my favorite classics in my closet. I have had it since college and snagged it at H&M. It is my go-to work coat for the winter, which this year seems extra-long! 🙂 I also paired with my Alex & Ani UCONN bracelet and Guesss boyfriend watch and a cute leopard scarf. Count-down until spring has started! Oh, and on my front door you will notice the letters CMB in chalk, which are the initials of the Magi which are inscribed upon the doors with blessed chalk. It is interpreted as the Latin phrase “Christus Mansionem Benedicat” which means “Christ bless this house.”

Early Snow

We had our first snowfall of the season and although it was pretty, it was a little early!  I had to make sure I took out all my winter gear- my boots, mittens, scarves, and even winter coats!  I wore some simple flannel and skinny jeans and some ankle boots to stay warm.  My favorite thing about snowfall, besides that it’s so picturesque, is the fun accessories!  I wear my Hunter Boots throughout the winter (even though they are rain boots they are perfect for snow too!) and love dressing up my plain sweaters with textured scarves.  What’s your favorite winter accessory?
