Hair Chameleon

When it comes to fashion & hair, I am sort of like a chameleon–always changing.  I find that since I do not take many daring risks like skydiving or gambling that chopping my hair off or dying it dark is an adrenaline rush for me.  I am an Aries (the fire sign) and Aries tend to love change and get bored easily.  My go-to signature look is long highlighted blonde hair and is the most “me” look, however once in a while it’s fun to completely change your look.  I decided to go through a few of my different looks and see what you think!

Tuesday Cures

It’s the first day of normalcy for me– back to work and back to reality.  I know a lot of you feel the same way whether you are back to work, returning from winter break and starting spring semester, or just recuperating from the holidays.  Since today was my first day back to work, I needed a little inspiration.

First, I need a breakfast for champs.

One of my favorites is a Greek Yogurt parfait shown  here.

Then, I needed to dress my desk up a little.  Since I still did not have a wedding photo at my desk, I added one.

Since I was still in vacation mode last night, my mom had us over for dinner and wine.  So, since I was out later than expected I DVRed my favorite premiere’s last night. Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family, 2 Broke girls on CBS, & The Bachelor on ABC.

2012 Resolutions

Every year, it’s as though people have the same empty resolutions: lose weight, exercise more, get a new job.  All of these resolutions are nice and all but they are always “fixing” things.  I want my resolutions to be more specific and unique so I thought long and hard about my resolutions.

1. Take more risks.  On my honeymoon, I chickened out of the helicopter ride in Hawaii with my husband.  He said it was the most amazing experience he has ever had.  I am so mad at myself for letting my fear get the best of me.  Whether it be taking fun adventures or professional risks, 2012 will be my year of just having faith and going for it.

2. Eat more natural foods.  In our society we are so trained to “diet” and “low-fat” foods that contain so many chemicals.  Sure they are less in fat & sugars but the artificial sweeteners and flavoring have other harmful effects on our bodies.  In 2012 I want to stick with basic, natural foods and really cut down my consumption of diet and artificial foods. Whole Foods & Trader Joes here I come!

3. Volunteer.  As a busy young professional, time is money and hard to come by.  Although I donate to many charities, I do not dedicate enough time to those in need.  Whether it be visiting a nursing home or helping animals, I would like to volunteer this year.  Me and my best friend made this resolution together.  It’s always nice to have a partner in crime!
