Casual Chic

Fall is my favorite season to spend time outside.  The crisp air, blue skies, and refreshing wind is such a high after a fun, eventful, hot summer.  Since my puppy, Zoey, turned 1 this month, I wanted to do a fun fashion shoot with her at our new home.  She has been such a beautiful addition to our family.  She is a rescue from a kill shelter so I know she is happy as well! 🙂

The sweater I am wearing is actually Old Navy but looked very similar to a J. Crew’s Heart Me sweater.  I was excited because the Old Navy one only costs $20!

Nautical Chic

Although this look has been worn many different ways, the nautical-themed look never seems to tire.  It is so classic and chic and there are so many different ways to incoporate this tailored look.  I took some simple & classic comfortable pieces to put this look together.

Rent the Runway

One of my guilty pleasures is listening to Elvis Duran and the Morning Show… are any of you fans?  Anyway, Carla Marie shared this really cool website called  Rent the Runway.  We all remember Bag Borrow Steal from Sex and the City right?  Well, this is a similar concept.  If you have a gala, wedding, special event to go to, you can rent gorgeous designer dresses from $30-200.  It’s a cool concept, especially if you have a high-end event to go to (ahem, fashion week?) and you want to look killer but cannot afford to buy the dress.  Plus, you will never be seen in the same dress twice.

Nude & Neon

Neon is popping up everywhere and as a child of the ninenties, it definitely sparks my inner fabulous 10-year-old persona.  I was obsessed with neon from snap bracelets to glittery neon jelly shoes… remember those?  Although I love the daring look of media, I wanted to wear it to work so I found this lovely top at H&M and muted the neon with an H&M nude skirt & shoes.  Perfect work outfit with a pop of fun.
