DIY Halloween Ideas

Halloween is such a fun time of year because you can get away with wearing too much makeup, too short skirts, and any color hair.  This can be a fun adventure & a great excuse to get a little creative!  Out-of-the-bag Halloween costumes can be very cute but sometimes it’s fun to put something together on your own because you know it’s unique.. and you can save a lot of money which we can all use! Here are some ideas.  Have you done a DIY costume before?  Please share! xo

Rosie the Riveter: I love this idea- grab a red bandana & blue collared shirt and you have a great costume & so cheap!

DIY Halloween Costumes Under $100: Holly Golightly

Audrey Hepburn: So fun & so easy.  You may even already have a black dress  to pair it with!

Katy Perry:  You can do so much. Fund a colorful outfit, grab a lolli-pop and  buy a blue wig & you are all set!

Black Swan:  FInd a black tutu, a black top, tiara, and do some awesome makeup to pull this off!

Head Over Heels

My mom has always picked on me for walking around like Godzilla because I walk very hard on my feet.  Although I love stilettos, I end up ruining heels a lot! My favorite shoe is definitely the wedge- they give my petite frame a serious lift and they are so comfortable.  I also try to go for chunkier heels when I buy pumps for the same reason.  What is your go-to heel?  Are you a wedge girl, flats-girl, or stiletto mama?  There are so many options to choose from & I know we all have our favorites!

Fall Favorites

I was so proud of my perfect pumpkin I found at Trader Joe’s.  With no dents or bruises and perfectlt orange&round!  My fall faves are snuggling with my pooch Zoey, carving pumpkins, and making homemade treats such as those decadent homemade candy apples!  Sock buns are easy & perfect for fall, especially on windy days like today! XO.

This weekend

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!  I went to a Halloween party that benefits breast cancer research. It was a blast!

Old Hollywood

Famous for her tiny frame and perfect poofy dresses & over-sized sunglasses, there is not doubt that Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorite style icons.  She was classy, chic, feminine and most of all timeless.  I am noticing a lot of classic fashion is coming up this season- peplum, pleats, over-sized hats… I am loving every minute of it!

Bettie Page

Is another timeless style icon.  Her sex appeal & bold style is still making an impact on fashionistas everywhere.

MARILYN MONROE

The ultimate glamor girl.  Her bleach blonde hair is still emulated by many as well as her famous beauty mark.  There is not one ounce of this woman that was not sexy or glamorous.

Who is your favorite Old Hollywood icon?
