This weekend was freezing in Connecticut- it was almost unbearable. I was lucky to have a very beautiful heavy coat, along with adorable mittens and scarf since I had a busy weekend planned. It can be a challenge looking fashionable in the freezing cold but it’s all about layering. One of my favorite winter fashionista’s is Blake Lively. Her layers and bundles always look effortless and cool warm.
I love watching award shows not only to see who will win but to see what they are wearing, of course. The Peoples Choice Awards are fun because the winners are chosen by the fans and the show seems much more laid back than the Oscars or Academy Awards. I loved the spunky fashion that popped up at the Peoples Choice Awards- here are some of my faves.

Capes are my favorite fashion this winter. They are so high fashion and give off a sense of status. Put it in, I swear you will feel like a super-hero! 🙂

Gold is one of the most classic metals in jewelery fashion. However, the type of gold that is popular is always changing. From yellow gold to white gold, to the newest obession: rose gold. Rose gold is a beautiful pink tinted gold that goes especially well with my complexion which why it’s one of my favorites.

Today was a very fun day of family & football. I am finally able to enjoy all my new things from Christmas and spent most of my gift cards so far so wanted to share my small pleasures with you.
