Little Angels
Giggles and smiles and wide-eyed boys
Skirts and tutus and plenty of toys
A countdown to Christmas in each classroom
These little angels were taken much too soon
Their bravery and strength have earned them their wings
Their spirit; their soul, will continue to sing
While we cry for these babies, these tiny souls
Listen for their voices, these Little Angels– they are not alone

I have always had a fascination with photographs.  When I was little I used to LOVE looking at my parents old prom photos & wedding photos because I felt like the snapshot paused time and for a second I could be there.  That is why I love photography, it is  a rewarding, new-found passion of mine.  The other fun part of taking pictures, is having fun with them after.  I have been having a blast with PicMonkey and wanted to share some of my recent projects.. just for fun!Jamiepinkhair

Winter Vacation

I am so excited to be heading to Punta Cana for my cousin’s destination wedding next week. Although we will be back before Christmas, it got my thinking, how do you keep the holilday spirit in a tropical place? Since I am a New England girl, when I think of Christmas, I think of snow, mittens, decorating pine trees, and hot apple cider. In Punta Cana, there will be beaches, tropical cocktails, and bikinis. But I figured I can bring a little Christmas to vacation with the right amount of sparkle and some festive colors. I am LOVING this purple sequined dress from glitzyangel.co.uk & the adorable candy cane-like bikini from misselfridge.com. Adding some gold, red, green, and winter white will be perfect for my holiday travel!

New Life,New You

This time of year is extra special for some of us but extra difficult for those going through family, personal or relationship issues.  It is the time of year to give thanks for what you have been blessed with and help those that are in need.  It was an honor to work with Salon Alexander/Beauty Entourage, Sassy Mouth Photography, Dressbarn, and Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs and collaborate this day of beauty for survivors of domestic abuse from Interval House. 

The wonderful, generous staff members Salon Alexander gave free cuts, color, style, and makeup to these strong women just a few days before Thanksgiving.  Dressbarn and Lynn Evans styled the women in fabulous clothing to bring their looks to life.  Sassy Mouth Photo took headshots of the strong, beautiful women.  This makeover was not just about looking beautiful, but feeling beautiful inside & out so these women can really feel the meaning of New Life, New You.  Some of the women expressed their gratitude by saying that their new hair color or cut was a start to a new beginning. Another woman said she never felt more beautiful in her life.  It was an amazing event to be a part of! Fox CT even came out & did a wonderful story on our event.  Ashley Stone, owner of Salon Alexander talks about why this was so important to her and how domestic violence is a cause that is close to her heart.
